If you've heard about DJK Assassin aka Google Assassin - you've probably seen all of the Bogus reviews where affiliates try their hardest to make a sale for the product or against the product so they can make a sale for a competitive product.

Although I'm trying to give you some free tips, tricks, lessons, advice... whatever you'd like to call it -- about Search Engine Optimization... I'd also like to stress the facts about Pay-Per-Click Marketing otherwise known as "PPC".

If you're not familiar with PayPerClick Marketing you'll be familiar by the end of this post.

Google.com is notorious for their Search Engine... but how in the heck do they make BILLIONS? PPC is how.

Google has something called Google AdWords which is what Advertisers use to bid on positions of Paid Listings. You can see the Paid listings when you do a search for something using the Google Search Engine. You'll see them to your right and sometimes at the very top of the results in a highlighted box.

When a searcher clicks on one of these paid listings - the Advertiser who bid on the keyword you entered has to pay the amount of money they made the bid for - for each click made on that Ad Position.

So you might ask yourself "Why would this be of interest to me?"...

Simple.

If you've ever done any Affiliate/Internet Marketing - you'll realize how important Leads or Prospects can be. Organic Search Engine Listings "just aint what they used to be!". In the old days - getting a top position for free was good. This meant you would receive an avalanche of traffic which, in turn, would lead to sales.

But those days are gone... these days it's MUCH harder to get that type of traffic with the increase of online business.

So this is where PPC (PayPerClick) Marketing comes in. Internet Marketers are making BIG money using PPC Campaigns and you can too!

With AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, Microsoft AdCenter and all of the 2nd tier PPC Programs out there - there's TONS of money to be made. As much as some people claim that "everybody's doing it" - ignore all of that. I was stuck in the same boat for a long time with those same beliefs.

The fact is - there's TONS of Niche Markets that are barely being promoted, if at all! People come up with new Products every day!

But there's still a problem.

Where do you LEARN PPC Marketing?

That's the hard part... there's so much JUNK being taught online, in books and on DVD's that it's hard to figure out how to really, truly, learn from "the pro's".

The fact is: Most "gurus" who teach you how to use PPC are giving you nothing but recycled junk that is either:
a) Old and useless
or
b) Unethical

But there are a couple of programs that I've run into that I absolutely love and would recommend to anybody. Including family, which I have done.

The first is: PPC Classroom
The program is based on Jeremy Palmer who has made Millions of Dollars as an Affiliate Marketer. Not bad eh?

The upside: The program is PACKED full of information that I truly believe is amazing stuff and it goes from a Beginner Level to Super Advanced. This package is truly complete. Period.

The downside: It's a little pricey! You can purchase the package for $497 or 3 Payments of $187 each.

The second program is: WealthyAffiliates
This program was started by two guys I've, honestly, never heard of. But this Membership based site is...just...wow. You talk about going all out for their members! They give you Keyword Tools, Learning Resources that is so packed full of information it's actually scary at first glance. From the 8 Week course to the eBooks to the Tools and forums - you're going to learn A LOT of information!

The upside: The program is CHEAP. It's only $29.99 per month AND NOW you even get SiteRubix which is an Online Site Builder that will absolutely blow your mind! It's like an Online version of Dreamweaver WITHOUT the steroids ;-)

The downside: I really cannot find one. I've learned so much from this place and it's truly amazing. The forums should not be used until around the second or third day as there's just WAY too much information and GREAT threads with guys like Travis Sago just spilling the beans on everything that all the other guys WILL NOT teach you!

I've tried to use other programs, books and DVD's and I honestly think these two are just SUPERIOR to all of the other programs out there, without a doubt.

The emphasis that search engines place on linking your website to others and linking your site pages to each other is proof that these strategies work hand in hand.

One very effective, but time consuming method of linking is by creating KEYWORD LINKS; using the keywords on your pages to create hyper-links to the detailed information source. For instance if you are giving an overview of your products on one page, each product can be linked to the product page. Depending on the amount of content you have on each page you can have several keyword links on a page.

The objective is to cross reference your website in as many ways as possible. This provides important data for the search engine robot and your indexing process will be much more successful.

By linking each of your pages to another page you provide continuity for your readers and it is a great way to see the "missing links" in your website content and design.

Distribute your keyword links throughout your website; too many hyper-links on a single page creates an "advertising" effect and a visual challenge to your visitor who is looking for information, not hype. Implementing keyword links in the design stage is the easiest way to accomplish this.

Your home page is only one entry point; if you design each of your pages as an individual site, with its own title, keywords and description, wherever a person enters your site they will be able to get the information they need.

DYNAMIC LINKS AND SEO

If you have a website with many pages it is usually easier to organize these pages on a database. Many of these databases use scripts like ASP or CGI that generate what is called "dynamic pages" when a page is requested.

Many search engines have problems with indexing dynamic pages with query strings because they are written with special characters like "?", "&" and "=", which are read by the these scripts. Using these types of links will make the indexing process take longer. In addition, many times even though the search engines will crawl your site and index the dynamic pages, they may not be indexed properly.

The best solution for dynamic page links is to create static HTML links for the search engine to follow. Static HTML links do not use redirection or java script, are easily spidered by search engine robots.

LINK POPULARITY and CONTENT are inter related. When a search engine finds identical content on several different sites, it represents no added value to the search engines and those sites can be penalized and conversely, when the search engines find original content the site is rewarded with improved search engine rank.

Original content will earn you high marks with the search engines, by adding quality content pages to your site you will attract more visitors as well. This is why it is important to add new content often.

When you are interested in achieving a high ranking on the search engine listings when your keyword is searched, quality content is key. In this case quality content is defined "valuable information for your visitors".

The higher the quality of the information, the more attention it will receive from the search engines and human visitors alike. Your content can be related to your product or service in a variety of ways; the benefits it provides, comparisons to other products or information related to the problem that makes your product necessary.

Your inbound links play a large role in how Google determines PageRank. The more sites within your category that link to you, the higher your page rank can be.
You can encourage related sites to link to you by providing text links and tiny graphic buttons with your link initiation.

Another method of spreading the word about your site and increasing your inbound links is to use a "referral system" that will include a "tell a friend" or "email this page" feature on your web pages.

And now it is time for a word about ETHICS. During the early days of the Internet, search engines were far less sophisticated and provided some individuals the opportunity to devise some very interesting ways to manipulate them to achieve a high ranking on the index.

Today search technology has advanced to the point where most of these techniques no longer work. Unfortunately there are many people who did not get this memo.

They continue to promote their version of search engine optimization to their downfall; the major search engines are vigorously tracking these sites and banning them from their index permanently.

This includes software companies, webmasters and companies that offer search engine optimization services.

Using unethical techniques of search engine optimization may give you a temporary boost in the search engine results pages, but the cost for that boost could be the end of your online presence. Here is a list of the most commonly promoted techniques that can cause severe problems for your website:

· keyword stuffing
· unrelated and centralized link farms
· automatically generated doorway pages
· pages loaded with irrelevant words
· cloaking and false redirects
· misspelling of well-known web sites
· hidden text or hidden links
· duplicated content on multiple pages

In addition to these techniques, beware of any company that guarantees you a top search engine ranking with 24 to 48 hours. More than likely they are using a software that relies on an unethical technique.

Using Back Links for SEO

BACK LINKS

Search engine robots pay special attention to BACK LINKS which are also called DEEP LINKS. Back links are internal links that go to specific pages within your website.

Each time you reference an article, product or feature that is fully explained on another back, create a link for it so that people can go directly to the information they want.

This is also used in "natural linking"; wherever a specific webpage address is posted, for example in discussion forums when a person directs a person to a website that has the answer to a question in a post.

Joining discussion forums that relate to specific areas of your website and posting with the URL of the specific webpage in your signature line is an effective way to build natural inbound links to your site.

When you request a reciprocal link from another webmaster or submit your site to a directory, in most cases they will link to your home page. Even if they accept links to your internal pages, if you have 50 pages, it is unlikely that they will accept more than 10 links from your site.

Creating free reprint articles that link back to the specific webpage is another very effective way to create links to your internal pages. You simply put the URL of the webpage that you want to direct the reader to in the Author Info section.

Write a variety of articles about different aspects of your product or service and link the author info to your internal page.
